Combest Pool is again having an evening dedicated to man’s best friend. The annual “Gone to the Dogs” event is set for August 6, including contests with prizes along with the chance to donate dog food.
The event is scheduled for 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Combest Pool (1530 McJohnson Avenue), rain or shine. It costs $10 per dog, but owners get in free. A leash is required outside of the pool.
There will be contests, giveaways, prizes, and displays from local pet stores and veterinarians. Small bags of dry dog food may be brought in to be donated to the Owensboro Humane Society and the Daviess County Animal Shelter.
